This album is dedicated to Dr. Billy Taylor (1921-2010), the influential Jazz pianist, composer and teacher, whose most popular piece arguably is the title track “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free”. This hymn of the US human rights movement in the 1960s is sice widely knownthrough the popular recordings of Nina Simone. Many other Taylor Compositions are included here, some of which, so far, have been rarely recorded.
